Nuffield New Technologies Conference

OpenFields is attending this event on Tuesday 20th April 2010.

The conference will focus on knowledge transfer and innovation for the agri-food sectors and the current state of knowledge transfer and research in UK agriculture. It will be an opportunity for delegates to review and discuss their research needs with industry leaders.

The conference also includes ʻNew Technology in Action case studiesʼ, presented by past Nuffield Scholars who will demonstrate how the latest ideas are being put to practical use today.

Our particular interest in the conference is focused on how innovative businesses and ‘early adopter’ practitioners access such research and developments and the part that web-based technologies play. We will be inviting delegates to submit ideas for the sorts of items they would like to see made available online through OpenFields by dropping them into an easy-to-use online suggestion box.

*A Nuffield Conference in association with Fusion Events and is supported, on a not for profit basis, by: Natural England, East of England Agricultural Society East of England Agricultural Society, Yara, Campaign for the Farmed Environment Campaign for the Farmed Environment, Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, Technology Strategy Board Technology Strategy Board and Challenger.
